A time-based event consisting of two rounds. Round 1 will be a quiz based on Soil and Concrete. In Round 2, participants will be given multiple mini-tasks to complete within the shortest possible time. The team that completes all the tasks in the least amount of time will be declared the winner.

About the event
Shake & Stand is a two-round structural engineering challenge where teams first prove their civil engineering knowledge and teamwork, then put their structural design skills to the ultimate test by building an earthquake-resistant tower and challenging it on a shake table. Design and construct a seismic-resistant multi-storey frame tower using only the materials provided. The tower shall have an overall height of 35–40 cm, with each storey measuring 5–8 cm in height and a base plan of 10 × 10 cm. The frame shall be designed for maximum stability, strength, and resistance to simulated earthquake vibrations. The completed tower will be subjected to shake-table testing to evaluate its seismic performance, lateral deformation, stability, and resistance to earthquake-induced vibrations.
