Programming competition involving quiz and auction programmes
Dureation: 15-20 minutes. Participants shall attend a quiz on basic programming concepts .Every team is scored out of 10 and the top 10 teams are selected for the next round. Tie Breakers: 1.Star Marked Questions: Some Priority Questions can be used to break ties. 2.Earliest Submission: Team to make the earlier submission shall qualify for the next round. 3.If a tie is still not broken, the next method will be used. Sudden Death: 1.Team that makes the first mistake shall not qualify for the next round.
Duration: 50 - 60 minutes. Selected participants are given credits based on their quiz score. Credits awarded = 1000* respective quiz score. 10 programming questions prepared in advance will be displayed to all the participants. Each participant is given 5 minutes to discuss and/or decide the question of their preference. At the end of 5 minutes, an auction is conducted where participants are allowed to bid for their preferred problem statement with their awarded credits. At the end of the auction, every participant has a unique problem statement i.e., None of the problem statements are repeated. Participants can code their solutions using C/C++/Python/ MATLAB within 45 minutes. The codes are assessed and scored based on a fixed criteria. The top three participants are announced winners.
