- Based on the scores obtained, the selected/highest-scoring teams will qualify for Round 2.
Echoes of the Lab is a sound-based guessing game inspired by the sounds commonly heard in the Civil Engineering laboratory and construction field. Participants will play different sounds one at a time, including Civil Engineering laboratory sounds, material-related sounds, construction equipment and machinery sounds, and other sounds commonly heard at construction sites. The participants must identify and guess the source/type of each sound based solely on what they hear.
- The selected teams will compete in a buzzer-based round.
- A sound will be played, and teams must identify it.
- The team that presses the buzzer first will get the opportunity to answer.
- Points will be rewarded for correct answers according to the round's scoring scheme.
In case two or more teams have the same final score, an additional sound-based question will be played as a tiebreaker. The teams will compete using the buzzer. The team that presses the buzzer first and gives the correct answer will win the tiebreaker. If the first team to answer gives an incorrect answer, the opportunity may be given to the next team, as decided by the organizers.
