BMEQUEST FOR CLARITY
QUEST FOR CLARITY
Quest for Clarity is a two-round technical event that challenges participants in Python debugging, technology-based puzzles, and digital logic. In Round 1, participants solve a Python Debug task followed by a Tech Riddle/Puzzle, with both solutions forming the first part of the final code. In Round 2, qualified teams solve a Logic Gates challenge using truth tables, simplified Boolean expressions, or circuit analysis. The answer from Round 2 is combined with the outputs from Round 1 to unlock the final password, with the fastest and most accurate teams emerging as the top three.

Event Round Details
Participants embark on a problem-solving journey through two challenges hidden in QR codes. The first QR reveals a Python Debug task where teams analyze a buggy program, fix the errors, and determine the correct output. The output provides a clue to the next challenge. The second QR presents a Tech Riddle/Puzzle, such as scrambled logos, ASCII art, or witty riddles. Both solutions form the first part of the final code.
- Teams must consist of 2–3 participants.
- Teams must solve the Python Debug challenge first.
- The output of the Python challenge must be used to proceed to the next challenge.
- Teams must solve the Tech Riddle/Puzzle.
- Both answers must be combined to obtain Part 1 of the Final Code.
Fastest team to correctly complete the round.
Qualified teams will scan a QR code containing a Logic Gates challenge. Teams must apply digital logic concepts through truth tables, simplified Boolean expressions, or circuit analysis to determine the correct output. The resulting answer forms Part 2 of the Final Code. Teams then combine Part 1 and Part 2 to derive and submit the Final Password at the desk.
- Only teams qualifying from Round 1 may participate.
- Teams must solve the Logic Gates challenge independently.
- Truth tables, Boolean expressions, or circuit analysis may be required.
- The Round 2 answer forms Part 2 of the Final Code.
- Part 1 and Part 2 must be combined to obtain the Final Password.
- The Final Password must be submitted at the designated desk.
Among teams with the correct Final Password, the fastest submission will rank higher.

ITLLM SHOWDOWN
LLM SHOWDOWN
LLM Showdown is a 2-round event of wit, strategy, and AI prompting inspired by Codenames. Two teams compete to guide ChatGPT toward their secret target word without ever revealing it directly. Players must craft clever, indirect prompts while avoiding the target word and all its derivatives. Every response becomes a test of deduction, deception, and prompt-engineering skill.
