Rewired - Rethink What You Know


An out-of-the-box technical event combining CTF, Auction, Ideation/Implementation and Presentation. Round 1 (CTF): Hardware CTF with points that are used in Round 2. Round 2 (Auction): Auction results will have impact in round 3 with surprise elements. Round 3 (PPT): It is ideation with implementing solution for the problem statements given in limited timeframe followed by final presentation.

Event Round Details

Description

Hardware CTF with hidden flags to receive points. These points are later used for auctioning. Time frame: 30 min - 40 min

Rules
  • Participants are permitted to use AI tools for assistance throughout the competition.
  • The total number of valid flags submitted by each team will be tracked and counted.
  • Each flag carries a specific coin value awarded upon successful submission based on its difficulty.
  • Sharing answers or solutions between teams is prohibited.
  • The entire event must be completed within a strict maximum duration of 40 minutes.
  • The organizers' decision regarding challenge completion and scoring will be final.

Description

Auction - Participants bid for a surprise element which will be used in round 3. Time frame: 15 min - 20 min

Rules
  • Teams can only bid using the exact coin balance earned during Round 1.
  • The items placed on the auction floor will be revealed one by one in real-time as each bidding slot opens.
  • Each team can only successfully win one primary auction item. Once a team wins an item, they must sit out of the auction.
  • One team bid at a time.
  • Once an auction slot closes and a winning bid is hammered, no modifications, trade-backs, or secondary negotiations will be entertained.
  • The auctioneer’s verdict on bid timings, invalid bids, and final sales is absolute and binding.

Description

Problem statements will be announced in this round. Theme: Industrial IoT. Final presentation round, participants will be given 2 boxes of chits to choose from, the presentation should be done combining the challenges of both the chits. Three step evaluation in this round - Ideation, Workflow, Final PPT. Time frame: 1.20 hr - 1.30 hr

Rules
  • Teams have strictly 1.5 hours to complete their ideation, system architecture design, and final presentation slide deck.
  • Each presentation is capped at a strict maximum of 4 minutes, followed immediately by Q&A session.
  • Surprise gamified elements and pop-up scenarios will be unveiled live to challenge creative adaptability.
  • AI tools are permitted for technical research, architecture design, and code ideation, but not allowed for PPT generation.
  • Evaluation will be continuous and will be based on innovation, architecture and additional bonus points will be given for prototypes (if built).
